Member Management
In the member list, a warning icon appears next to unverified email addresses or phone numbers. Unverified contact methods cannot receive alert notifications. Please remind members to complete verification promptly. The list also shows each member’s Time Zone: members without a personal time zone follow the organization time zone — see Organization Information and Personal Settings for details.
Searching Members
The search box in the member list matches with OR semantics — a member is returned when any of the following conditions is met:- Name or email: fuzzy match containing the keyword
- Phone number: exact match when the input parses as a valid phone number
- Member ID: when the input is purely numeric, an additional exact match against the member ID (
member_id)
Invitation Methods
- Invite link / QR code
- Email Invitation
- Phone Invitation
- API Invitation
- SSO Auto-creation
An invite link or QR code shares the organization directly — no need to fill in an email address or phone number for each person, which makes it a good fit for posting in a group chat.
- Go to the member management page and click Invite members
- Switch to the Invite link or Invite QR code tab
- Set the Default role on join (select one or more) as needed — Viewer by default
- Click Copy link; on the QR code tab, click Save QR code or Copy QR code
- Only the subject account or an Account.Admin can manage them: other members do not see these two tabs, and a custom role with member-management permission can still only invite people one by one
- One link per organization: it is generated when you open the invite dialog and stays valid for a fixed 42 days; the tab shows the expiry date of the link / QR code
- Clicking Reset rotates the link and restarts the clock — every link and QR code handed out before stops working immediately; the configured default roles are unaffected
- Copy link copies a ready-to-forward message carrying the organization name, the link, and (when the organization has join restrictions) the email domains allowed to join; Save QR code / Copy QR code produce a poster image with the organization name and expiry date
- Adding an admin role such as Account.Admin to the default roles requires a second confirmation — everyone who holds the link gets that role
- A configured default role that has since been deleted falls back to Viewer at join time
{console domain}/invite/{token}:- Before signing in they see the organization card (avatar and name) and click Sign in to join; the sign-in page carries the invite token, so they are not asked which organization to sign in to
- After signing in they join the organization automatically and land in the console
- Members who already belong to the organization, and the owner account, go straight in and keep their roles
- People who join through the link get only the configured default roles and are not added to any team
- After a reset or expiry, the landing page shows This invite is no longer valid; ask an organization admin for a new link
- The system will send SMS or email notifications to invitees
- Daily invitation limit is 200 people, with a maximum of 20 per invitation and up to 5 resends per day
- Unactivated accounts cannot receive alert-related notifications
- When the organization configures an email-domain allowlist under join restrictions, one-by-one invitations only accept addresses on that allowlist (the invite dialog lists the allowed domains); phone invitations are unaffected, and link joins are checked against the email domain used to sign in
Changing Roles
- Account administrators can change member roles
- Members can downgrade their own role but cannot upgrade it
License Management
Licenses determine whether a member can view and handle incidents. In the member management list, you can view and manage the license status of each member.
You can perform the following actions in the License column of the member list:
- Grant Fixed License: Assign a fixed license to a member, provided there are available license slots
- Revoke License: Release the member’s license; the member will no longer be able to view or handle incidents
The total number of licenses depends on your subscription plan. When all licenses are allocated, you need to release another member’s license or upgrade your subscription to assign one to a new member.
Member Detail Page
In the member list (including the member list inside a team’s detail page), click a member’s name to open the member detail page, where that member’s information is centralized:For members auto-created via SSO, the profile and roles are maintained by the identity provider; the corresponding edit entries on the member detail page are unavailable.
